Something Sensational Look Inside      Back to Books Not long after we married, my husband and I had the fantastic opportunity of backpacking around Asia for many months.  One thing I noticed on our trip was how so many of our fellow travellers were keeping diaries of their travels and so was born the idea for Something Sensational.   Something Sensational is the story of four girls travelling around Asia together. Or rather four versions of the four girls’ trip as each has a very different take on their experiences, as we can read from their diaries.   The excerpt I have selected from the book comes near the beginning. During their ten hour flight to Beijing, three of the girls - Maeve, Debbie and Genevieve - pass the time writing in the dairies Genevieve has bought for each of them to record their trip.    As you will read, the preoccupations of each of the girls are very different.
